This 5th edition of the festival explores identity, heritage, memory, resilience, and cultural reconnection through immersive storytelling, art, and community engagement.
Day 1 – Charitable Journey
A community outreach and charity-focused opening day dedicated to supporting vulnerable members of society through donations, outreach, and shared service.
Day 2 – Journey to the Great River Goddess (Naa Bale)
A cultural and spiritual exploration of traditional beliefs, storytelling, and reverence of the river deity as part of indigenous heritage preservation.
Day 3 – Alokoto Color Wave Walk is a vibrant celebration of unity, culture, and expression—where tradition meets creativity in a moving wave of colour, identity, and pride through the streets of Gbawe under The Return Beyond Borders..
Day 4 – The Cultural Journey of Soobii
A storytelling and performance experience tracing the symbolic cultural journey, identity, and artistic expression of Soobii through drama, music, and spoken word.
Day 5 – The Spirit of Surviving (Slave Trade Reflection Day)
A solemn educational and historical reflection on the transatlantic slave trade, resilience of African ancestors, and the importance of remembrance and identity restoration.
Day 6 – Alokoto Fashion Show (Evening Section)
A creative showcase of African fashion, textile innovation, cultural designs, and modern interpretations of traditional attire.
Day 7 – Rep Your School Day
A youth engagement and school pride celebration where SHS students represent their institutions through creativity, performance, and cultural expression.
Day 8 – Bonfire & Vigil Night (In Remembrance of the Dead)
A night of reflection, storytelling, music, candlelight vigil, and cultural remembrance honoring ancestors, loved ones, and historical memory.
